Why you need to start using rosehip oil

Pure natural plant oils are at the heart of natural beauty and have been used to care for skin for thousands of years, with rosehip oil being arguably the most popular of them all!

Rosehip oil is rich in skin-loving nutrients which help improve overall skin condition. It is a great source of essential fatty acids which are vital to the health of our skin, but which are not produced by our bodies. Naturally occurring in rosehip oil, these lipid compounds moisturise dry skin, improve softness and elasticity and help replenish and maintain radiantly healthy skin. Rosehip oil is also highly effective in helping to improve the appearance of scars, fine lines wrinkles and stretch marks.

What is rosehip oil?

Rosehip oil (Rosa Canina) seed oil is derived from rosehips, the fruit left behind after the rose has bloomed and dropped all its petals.

Smell the roses?
Rosehip oil smells nothing like roses, which often surprises first time users! The natural fragrance is very subtle and may be slightly woody as the oil is extracted from the seeds of the rosehip fruit, not from rose petals.

Where is rosehip oil from?

While roses grow all over the world, the best quality rosehips come from roses that grow wild in the mountainous regions of Chile in South America and Lesotho in southern Africa.

Here the soil, climate and water quality create the ideal growing conditions for wild growing rose bushes. The bushes bloom in spring and then gradually drop all their petals to reveal the brightly colored fruit of the rosehip to ripen in the warmth of the sun.
