Skin Detox 101
Think ‘skincare’ and thoughts of serums, cleansers and masks might pop up. But did you know caring for your skin doesn’t just come from your beauty regime, but also through diet, water and detoxing? For times where your skin looks extra dull or neglected, this is the guide for you.
Cleansing your skin daily is one of most important parts of any beauty routine; the build-up of excess oil and pollution needs to be removed to keep skin looking healthy and radiant. Cleansing both morning and night is the way to an optimal skin detox, but choosing your cleanser is essential – harsh cleansers may cleanse the skin, but also have the dual-effect of stripping your skin and irritating it. An old method but a good one. Steaming your skin after cleansing is important in enabling ingredients to penetrate pores. This is as simple as having a steamy shower or holding your face over a hot bowl of water with a towel above your head for ten minutes.

Not only good for detoxing, a diet rich in antioxidants can also help prevent ageing cell damage.
